Sarah's war story

One day war broke out and I got worried about my parents and my brothers. One day I went to my friend’s house to enjoy her company and by the time I got there, the bombing started and all the shops closed up and the cars disappeared from the streets. My mother was so worried about me coming back home so she let me spend the night at my friend’s house. My parents and my brothers went to the basement which is the best shelter against bombing the house.

One day few soldiers came into the house and asked all of us to go to the sitting room, they searched the house looking for something but they didn’t find what they were looking for. I got really scared and went to my room and started crying.

When the war was over, the shops opened up their doors to customers, the birds started chirping and everything went back to normal. I am no longer scared of war because I am very strong now and I will teach the children of my country not to be afraid of war and to defend our country.

We don’t like war. We don’t like war.
